Educational activities
Department of Forest Economics and Management provides teaching at the Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Ecology and Environmental Studies and at the Technical University in the field of sectoral economics. The broad specialization of the Department requires experts in the field of macroeconomics and microeconomics, management theory, forest economy and politics, enterprise financing and accounting, marketing and legislation.
The department is the founder and supervisor of the University study programme Economics and Management of Natural Resources, which enables students to obtain undergraduate and graduate degree in this field. The structure of the study programme guarantees comprehensive knowledge of enterprise and project management aimed at the reproduction of natural resources and their efficient use.
Scientific activities
The strategic objective of the research is aimed at the economic and social aspects of adaptive management of forest ecosystems. The Department conducts its research activities with an emphasis on sustainable forestry development and its adaptive management in forest economics, forest management and forest policy.
